The Start, barre.
We recommend that beginners take 3-5 Foundations level classes before moving on to other classes at our studio. Barre Foundations will provide you with major toning and sculpting, but it also teaches barre basics, such as proper form and alignment, connection to your body and muscles, and barre lingo that you will need to know before you move on to the next level. This is also the perfect time for our instructors to get to know you and provide any modifications that you might need. Remember, Barre 11 provides group fitness, but you will feel like you are getting a personal training experience. Get to know your “personal trainers” in some barre classes!

-
delivers and absorbs nutrients at the cellular level where it can be converted into energy
-
improves immune system
-
improves metabolic function
-
works entire body yet is gentle on the joints and ligaments
-
a strength, aerobic, flexibility, and endurance exercise
-
improves balance and coordination
-
great for ALL ages
-
increases bone density

and our personal FAVE....because of the extra forces of acceleration and deceleration, an hours worth of regular exercise can be accomplished in 30 minutes of rebounding! #Winning at time management! ;-)

functional fitness

barre + power yoga
An advanced level class that combines elements of barre, cardio and power yoga. This class is a continual movement. Each movement transitions to the next and should feel like a "dance on the mat". You will find this class challenging on every level, yet leave feeling balanced and flexible-in both body and mind!
power stretch
Tight, stiff muscles limit normal range of movement. Lack of flexibility can be a major contributing factor to muscle and joint pain. Tightness and stiffness interfere with proper muscle action. If the muscles cannot contract and relax efficiently, this will result in decreased performance and lack of muscle control. Short, tight muscles can also cause a dramatic loss of strength and power during physical activity.
Why should you stretch:
-
Improve range of motion
-
Increase power
-
Reduce post exercise muscle soreness
-
Reduce fatigue
-
Improve posture
-
Develop body awareness
-
Improve balance and coordination
-
Promote circulation
-
Increase energy
-
Induce relaxation
-
Decrease stress (stress relief)
